European Heritage Days 2026

Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20, 2026

Château de Bazoches opens its doors for the 2026 European Heritage Days. Throughout the weekend, discover areas usually closed to the public and two exclusive exhibitions, and enjoy on-site dining in the gardens.
  • Exhibition – “Perspectives on Vauban”:
Discover the 12 finalist photographs from our contest dedicated to the work of Vauban. Forts, citadels, and fortifications still bear witness today to the mark Vauban left on the European landscape. The 12 selected photographs will be on display in the château throughout the weekend.
  • Exhibition – “Traveling in France: SNCF Posters (1935–1955)”:
Immerse yourself in the golden age of the travel poster through a selection of reproductions from the Sigalas family collection. This exhibition traces the history of French railway posters, from the era of the major private companies to the birth of the SNCF in 1938.
  • Special opening of private areas
Gain access to areas rarely open to the public: the historic footbath and the château’s dovecote tower.
  • On-site dining
Enjoy a gourmet break at any time during your visit.
