📷 For the European Heritage Days on September 19 and 20, 2026, the Château de Bazoches plans to organize a photo contest themed around the work of Vauban.
Through his tireless work in France and elsewhere, the Marshal truly left his mark on the European landscape—both of his time and of our own. Our goal is to bring part of his work back to his native Morvan and his château through photography. We therefore invite you to participate in order to make this event a success.
The idea is simple. All you have to do is take a photograph of one of Vauban’s works—forts, citadels, or fortifications—capturing your own perspective through your camera. We will select ten photos from all those received and exhibit them at the château during the 2026 European Heritage Days. Once they are on display, visitors to the château will vote for their favorite over the course of the weekend. Following the vote, the top three will be rewarded.
Participation in the contest is completely free; no financial contribution will be required. For your participation to be counted, you must meet the conditions set out in the attached rules.
The final date for submitting your entries is August 30, 2026.
